Memories of George Chaffins
We lost George July 25, 2008 due to complications from an artic dissection. He spent his life in school or in a lab working. He recieved his associates at Alice Lloyd, then masters at Marshall and PhD in genetics at UK. He was a wonderful person and those who knew him knew that. He loved to teach and his teaching has went around the world. He was a wonderful brother and friend I only wished everyone knew him like I did smart, whitty, loving, caring, etc... There are no words to discribe the grief our family feels for his loss. There are people that he went to school with made an impression on his life and I hope you know who you are...
I remember the highly intelligent, goofy lab partner George. We spent much of high school as lab partners in science classes. We had a great partnership. He would do all the experimentation (or cutting on the dead animal) and I'd do all the computations. He would never allow me to do any experimenting because I constantly broke things. We attended Alice Lloyd together for a while, but then went our separate ways and lost touch. But, I never forgot George. He was one of my best friends and someone I'll miss greatly......
